Toyota Fortuner GR Sport: Toyota India has launched a new GR Sport variant of the popular Fortuner SUV among the customers, whose ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 48.43 lakh. This new variant of the powerful SUV has made it to the top of the Fortuner lineup, where its Legendary variant was present earlier. The company has launched the Fortuner GR Sport in the only fully-loaded variant which is based on the 4X4 trim. Toyota is adding the GR i.e. Gaju Racing Sport range to its global lineup. The global debut of the Fortuner’s GR Sport Edition was made in August last year with updated exterior design and new features.
Major changes in exterior
The new Fortuner GR Sport Edition has received major changes on its exterior which make it a bit different from the regular model. It gets a sporty body kit which includes a dark chrome grille and chunky bumpers at the front and rear. Apart from the grille, bumpers, front and side panels of the SUV, GR badging has been given on the tailgate. New 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels have been provided with the GR Sport. Chrome finish has been found on the ORVMs, air dam, door handles, window sills and door sills. Not much change has been seen in the rear, but the new rear bumper gives it some strong look. The Gaju Racing Sport variant of the Toyota Fortuner gets a host of new features including quad-LED headlamps, LED fog lights, seven airbags, dual zone climate control, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, EBD with ABS, powered tailgate, cruise control. , 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and driving modes like Android Auto, Eco, Normal and Sport. The SUV is only powered by a 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that makes 201 Bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque. The company has equipped this engine with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
