Honda NX500 Mid-Size Adventure Motorcycle: Honda has recently filed the design filing of the all-new NX500 mid-size adventure bike, in which its look has been revealed. The company has also trademarked the name NX500 some time back, which makes it clear that the company can launch a new adventure bike which will be based on the Honda CB500X. The new Honda bike is likely to be powered by a 471 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with the CB500X that makes 47 Bhp of power and 43.2 Nm of peak torque.
Less powerful engine can also be found
In the design filing, it has been revealed that apart from the powerful engine, a low capacity engine can also be given with the new Honda NX500. Even the 184.4 cc single-cylinder engine can be given with this new adventure motorcycle which is given with the Honda CB200X and Honda Hornet 2.0 made in India. Last year, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India also trademarked the name NX200, but the company here launched the CB200X with underpinnings taken from the Honda Hornet 2.0. A golden opportunity for Honda?
Honda CB200X is being liked a lot by Indian customers, but its suspension is not strong in terms of off-roading. This bike is performing well in sales also. With entry-level adventure bikes becoming a big hit in India, including the Hero XPulse 200 4V, this segment can become a golden opportunity for Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India to increase sales. Suzuki has also recently launched the new V-Storm 250SX in India but its performance as an adventure bike is also not very strong.
