Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said on Tuesday that an investigation was underway into the blast at the headquarters of the Punjab Police’s intelligence unit in Mohali. He also emphasized that those trying to disturb peace in the state will not be spared. News agency PTI quoted official sources as saying that CM Mann called a meeting of senior police officers, including the Director General of Police, at his residence and sought a report on the incident.

Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha termed the incident as a cowardly act and said strict action would be taken against those involved. The Rajya Sabha MP tweeted, “Blast in Mohali is a cowardly act of those forces who want to disturb the peace of the state. The Punjab government will not spare the people involved in this incident and strictest action will be taken against them.
Another AAP MP Sandeep Pathak said that this attack is highly condemnable. Pathak tweeted, “The attack on the Intelligence Headquarters of Punjab Police in Mohali is condemnable. I strongly condemn the attack. Police is probing the matter and not a single criminal will be spared.”
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang said that the criminals will not be spared. Kang tweeted, “The blast in Mohali is unfortunate, but the situation is now under control. The case is being investigated. Those involved in the attack will not be spared. No one will be allowed to play with peace and harmony. From this the panic of anti-Punjab forces can be gauged.
