Uttarakhand Ex Minister Suicide: Former Uttarakhand minister Rajendra Bahuguna has committed suicide by shooting himself. He was 59 years old and was accused of sexually abusing his granddaughter. Rajendra (Rajendra Bahuguna) daughter-in-law had filed a case of sexual abuse against him a few days back. Rajendra was saddened by these allegations, so he shot himself by climbing on the water tank.
The daughter-in-law of Rajendra Bahuguna had filed a case against him under the POCSO Act. After which Rajendra was very hurt. Before committing suicide, he called the police and then climbed on the tank and shot him with a pistol. Police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against Rajendra’s daughter-in-law. Haldwani’s Circle Officer Bhupinder Singh Soni said that the police had reached the spot and after a long conversation had convinced Rajendra to get down from the tank. But he suddenly took out the gun and shot himself in the chest. He was immediately taken to the hospital. We did our best to save them.
Rajendra Bahuguna was the leader of the roadways union in Haldwani. When ND Tiwari was the CM of the state, from 2004 to 2005, Rajendra Bahuguna got the status of Minister of State.
