NEW DELHI: This is really outrageous to go through a heinous crime once again . A 22 year old woman was working as a spa worker in the national capital where she was brutally raped by a gang. When this will stop? Today, I guess this question will arise in the heart of every woman .
Every woman faces some kind of harassment, assault or any kind of false attitude atleast once in life, Some cases comes out of the box and some not, here we are notified with one more case. In the related case, four suspects are arrested , the arrested were identified as Rahul ( manager at the spa ), Satish Kumar (customer) and owners of the spa Brij Gopal and Sandeep.
According to the further investigation, Deputy Commissioner Of Police (northwest) Usha Rangnani received a PR call at Maurya Enclave regarding sexual assault of a woman in Pitampura after which the police immediately rushed to the spot.
At the spot the victim along with his husband was giving the required details where she mentioned she joined the Ocean Spa Centre on 30 July and on 4 August a customer was demanding sexual favour from her. Later, the manager offered her a cold drink and after having that she felt dizzy and then was raped.
After learning about the complete incident, the victim was sent to hospital for medical examination and a counsellor from Delhi Commission For Women was called.
Accordingly the police registered an FIR under section 354A (Sexual harassment and punishment for sexual harassment), 328 (Causing hurt by means of poison, etc., with intent to commit an offence) and 376 D (gang rape) of the Indian Penal Code and immediately arrested Rahul and Satish Kumar.
Later, the police also registered a case under section 188 of the IPC against Ocean Spa Centre for violation of guidelines and following which the owners, Brij Gopal and Sandeep, were also arrested.
“Further, preventive action under appropriate sections of law has been taken against them,” the official added. Meanwhile, the Delhi Commission for Women chairperson Swati Maliwal also took cognizance of the incident, and pointed out that prostitution or sex rackets are being openly run in the national capital.
