New Delhi: Alt News co-founder Mohammad Zubair was arrested by Delhi Police under IPC section 153/295. Mohammad Zubair has been arrested for hurting religious sentiments. A separate case has been registered against Zubair under sections 153-A and 295 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), in which he has been arrested, a senior police officer said. He was produced in Patiala House Court. The court has sent Mohammad Zubair on police remand for a day.
“He has been arrested by our team of Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit of Special Cell of Delhi Police,” the officer said. The special cell will also write to Twitter to preserve their tweets of six months to one year.
