Lucknow: After the defeat in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, allegations and counter-allegations between the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party have continued. Both the parties are blaming each other for collusion with the BJP for the defeat. Mayawati once again retaliated on SP chief Akhilesh Yadav’s statement and said that SP Patron Mulayam Singh is openly in touch with BJP.
BSP chief Mayawati tweeted through Twitter that, “Ambedkarites in Uttar Pradesh will never forgive SP chief and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav. In his government, Akhilesh Yadav have been changed the names of most of the schemes and institutions etc. that was on the name of Ambedkarite peoples , which is very condemnable and also shameful.
He further said, “It is not the BSP but the patron of the SP Mulayam Singh Yadav is openly touch in BJP. Who also blessed Akhilesh Yadav from BJP in the last swearing-in of BJP and has now sent a member to BJP for his work.
It is worth noting that Akhilesh Yadav reached Azamgarh on a sudden visit on Monday. He accused the BSP of colluding with the BJP. Akhilesh Yadav had also raised questions on the defeat of Bahujan Samaj Party and said, “It has happened with the connivance of BJP. That is why Samajwadi Party is now allying with Ambedkarites and not with BSP.”
BSP has suffered a crushing defeat in the UP elections. The party, which was once in power in the state, got only one seat in the assembly elections. At the same time, the Samajwadi Party managed to win 111 seats. BJP won 255 seats in this election. The SP alliance has won 125 seats and the NDA 273 seats.
