Mumbai: A SpiceJet flight suddenly had to land in Mumbai. According to the DGCA, there was a crack in the windshield of SpiceJet’s Q-400 aircraft at an altitude of 23 thousand feet. After this, it was decided to immediately land the Kandla-Mumbai flight at the Mumbai airport.
DGCA officials told the agency that the outer part of the windshield was broken at an altitude of 23,000 feet, after which the plane was landed in Mumbai. SpiceJet’s statement on the incident has also come. The company said that the aircraft was landed safely in Mumbai.
This is the seventh incident of a technical snag in a SpiceJet aircraft in the last 17 days. Earlier on Tuesday, a SpiceJet flight had to land in Karachi. According to the DGCA, the authorities have started investigation into both the incidents that happened on Tuesday. Apart from this, the investigation of the last five incidents is also being done.
On Tuesday, there was a problem in a SpiceJet flight during the day itself. After which he suddenly had to land at Karachi airport. Flight number SG-11 was going from Delhi to Dubai. But due to fault, it had to be diverted to Pakistan. It was told that there was some problem with the indicator light of the plane. A plane has reached there to take the passengers aboard this plane to Dubai.
The statement of DGCA also came on the incident that happened in the morning. It was told that the crew of the SpiceJet aircraft noticed that the fuel tank indicator was showing a rapid decrease in the amount of fuel. After this, nothing wrong was found in the checking, there was no leak from anywhere in the tank. But the indicator was still showing low fuel. So the plane was landed in Karachi.
On July 2 of the same month, there was a problem in SpiceJet’s plane. Then the plane going from Delhi to Jabalpur had an emergency landing. Then smoke was seen rising in the cabin. It has been informed by a SpiceJet spokesperson that after the take off of the flight, when the aircraft reached an altitude of 5000 feet, smoke was seen in the pilot’s cabin.
After this the plane was landed back at Delhi Airport. Last month on June 19 also, there was a problem in SpiceJet’s plane. This plane was also going from Delhi to Jabalpur. There was a problem with its cabin pressure. Due to this the plane was brought back to Delhi. On the same day, another SpiceJet plane had a malfunction. This plane was coming from Patna to Delhi. There was a fire in the wing.
