Kerala Health Minister Veena George said, ‘Two cases of norovirus have been confirmed in Vizhinjam area of Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala. There’s no need to worry. The Health Department has assessed the situation. Testing has been done by taking samples from the area and necessary action for rescue has been intensified. Along with this, he has said that the condition of both the two children found infected is stable.
What is norovirus and how does it spread?
Norovirus is a virus transmitted from animals to humans, which causes gastrointestinal disease.
