BJP Suspends Nupur Sharma: BJP’s national spokesperson Nupur Sharma has been suspended from the primary membership of the party. The BJP has taken this action against him after people protested against him for his controversial remarks on Prophet Muhammad. Naveen Kumar Jindal has been fired from the party. Naveen Kumar Jindal is the media head of the Delhi BJP.
After the party took action against these two leaders, a letter has been issued by BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh. The letter said that BJP is a party that respects all religions. In the statement issued by the party, it has been further saying that every religion has flourished in the history of thousands of years of India. BJP strongly condemns the insult of any religious person of any religion. The party is strongly against the ideology which insults any sect or religion.
