Nandini Kushwaha, a class 10 student living in Mehrauni tehsil of Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh, has done something that is being appreciated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In fact, keeping in mind the problems of farmers, Nandini has created such an app, which will solve more than half of their problems at one place.
Nandini was invited by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India to attend the Digital India Week 2022 program on July 4 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the chief guest of this program. During this, the Prime Minister listened carefully to Nandini’s project and encouraged her to move forward.
Did not see the difficulties of the farmer father
Nandini Kushwaha says her father is a farmer. The father used to be troubled due to the decreasing yield in agriculture. He used to think that his father works hard day and night, but still why the crop production is so low?
Work done on this project
She further says that in the midst of all this, during an online class, she started knowing about soil testing and its problems. Since then it was decided to make such an app by which soil can be identified. Apart from this, farmers can be informed about what is lacking in the soil.
Nandini has named this project as Know the soil, recognize the crop. It is a smart data based tool that can analyze the various nutrients present in the soil to identify the best crop for the soil. The app developed by Nandini will also tell about the nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, temperature and humidity present in the soil.
Farmers will get such help
Through this app, farmers will be able to know which crop will be useful at which time. Apart from this, information about how much fertilizer and insecticide is needed in the crop will also be available. According to Nandini, this app of his will be made in physical form by 2025. With its arrival, the crop production of the farmers will definitely increase.
14-year-old Nandini Kushwaha is a student of class 10th in Government Girls Inter College located under Mehrauni Tehsil. Nandini’s farmer father Jamuna Prasad Kushwaha is a small farmer.
