According to the information received, Trinamool Congress leader Anarul has been arrested from Tarapith. Anarul left the Congress party and joined Trinamool Congress in 1998.
On this matter TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh said, “The search for Anarul was already going on. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had given instructions. His search was on. This proves that TMC does not see any colour.”
TMC leaders of Birbhum had complained to CM Mamta Banerjee about Anarul, after which Anarul was arrested within 24 hours following the instructions of CM Mamta Banerjee. After the instructions of the CM, he had escaped from his house, he was arrested by the police from Tarapith. At the same time, Anarul Hussain, who was arrested in the case, has declared himself innocent.
Anarul Hussain has said that after killing Bhadu Sheikh on the day of the incident, he was with him in the hospital overnight. They have nothing to do with the incident of arson. In fact, after the incident, the villagers had held Anarul Hussain responsible for the arson in the village and said that it was under the leadership of Anarul that people had set fire to the houses of the village.
Anarul also stopped the police team on the way
Even the police team coming to the spot was stopped by Anarul on the way. Sources said that the top police officers had informed the Chief Minister about this, after which she was angry and ordered the arrest of Anarul. After that Anarul was arrested.
Instructions not to tamper with anything in the area of violence
At the same time, taking suo motu cognizance of this incident, the Calcutta High Court had directed the installation of CCTV cameras for 24-hour surveillance on Thursday. Following the order of the court, CCTV cameras are being installed in the violence-affected area. During the hearing on Thursday, the High Court had said that the truth must come in front of everyone. Along with this, instructions have also been given to the state government to provide security to the witnesses. Apart from this, where this violence was carried out, instructions were also issued to not tamper with anything.
