In a message to Russian President Vladimir Putin in the presence of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, PM Modi said that war only causes damage. The impact of the war has been on all the countries of the world. It has affected every family living in different countries. PM Modi said that India is an advocate of peace and India needs peace in every part of the world. All issues should be resolved through dialogue.
The PM further said that due to the war, the prices of food items have increased and there has been a shortage of fertilizers. At the same time, the price of oil is also increasing due to rust. During this, PM Modi also mentioned the help sent by India to Ukraine. In which the PM said that help was provided to the people of Ukraine from India.
Corona epidemic also mentioned
PM Modi said in his statement that, as democratic countries, India and Germany share many common values. Based on these shared values and common interests, our bilateral relations have made remarkable progress over the years. He further said that, since our last IGC was held in 2019, significant changes have taken place in the world. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a devastating impact on the global economy. Recent geopolitical events also showed how fragile world peace and stability is and how interconnected all countries are.
