Presidential Election 2022: NDA’s presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday. She has come to Delhi for the first time after being elected as the presidential candidate by the NDA on Tuesday. His victory in the presidential elections is considered almost certain. If this happens, she will be the country’s first female tribal president.
After meeting her, Prime Minister Modi tweeted and said that I met Mrs. Draupadi Murmu ji today. His presidential nomination has been supported by all sections of the society across India. His vision for India’s development and his understanding of the country’s ground problems is unmatched.
BJP leaders welcomed at the airport
On Draupadi Murmu’s arrival in Delhi, several Delhi BJP leaders including BJP state president Adesh Gupta, party MP Manoj Tiwari and Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramesh Bidhuri welcomed Murmu at the airport. According to sources, documents related to his nomination are being prepared at the residence of Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi. Prime Minister Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah and BJP National President JP Nadda will be his proposers.

Union minister and senior BJP leader signing documents as proposers and supporters at Joshi’s residence. Sammit Patra of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is also among those who signed the documents. The BJD has supported Murmu’s nomination.
In a brief statement in Odisha before leaving for the national capital (Delhi Ncr), Murmu said that I thank everyone and seek cooperation from everyone for the presidential election. I will meet all the voters (MPs) before July 18 and seek their support. Voting for the presidency will be held on July 18. The term of the current President Ram Nath Kovind is ending on July 24.
