The BJP on Saturday announced the name of the candidate for the Lok Sabha by-elections in Rampur and Azamgarh seats. The party has made Ghanshyam Lodhi its candidate for Rampur seat. At the same time, the party has made Bhojpuri star and former candidate Dinesh Lal Yadav “Nirhua” as its candidate for Azamgarh Lok Sabha seat.
Congress will not contest elections
At the same time, the Congress has decided not to field any candidate in the by-elections to be held on these two seats. Due to lack of organization of Congress in the state, it has been decided not to contest elections on these two seats. However, even before the UP assembly elections, the party had decided not to contest the by-elections held in the state. It is believed that no organization in the state is yet of the party. State President Ajay Kumar Lallu has already resigned. In such a situation, the party organization is waiting for the announcement of the new state president in the state.
Whereas the main antagonist SP in the state has not yet announced the name of the candidate. While BSP has declared Shah Alam alias Guddu Jamali as its candidate for Azamgarh Lok Sabha seat.
