This visit of PM Narendra Modi is also being considered as a strong message for China. During this, PM Modi’s plane will not go to the airport built with the help of China in Nepal. After taking off from Delhi, PM Modi’s plane will first land at Kushinagar Airport in Uttar Pradesh. From Kushinagar, PM Modi will go directly to Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, by MI17 helicopter.
After reaching Lumbini, PM Modi will first offer prayers at the Mayadevi temple and will also do the Bhoomi Pujan of the Buddhist Cultural Center. Bilateral talks will also take place between the two countries during the 6-hour visit to Nepal. PM Modi will bypass the airport built by China and fly directly to Lumbini, where a helipad has been constructed at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, for his arrival. This is being seen as a deliberate rejection of China.
