Delhi has become the number one city in the world in terms of the installation of CCTV. Along with this, Delhi has also overtaken cities like London-Washington Paris. Giving information about this, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that Delhi has become the number one city in the world to install the maximum number of CCTV cameras for the safety of the people.
Our government has installed 2.75 lakh cameras in Delhi in the last 7 years and 1.40 lakh more cameras are going to be installed. After this, there will be a total of 4.15 lakh cameras. Delhi has 1826 cameras per mile and London has 1138 cameras, which is much less than Delhi. At the same time, Chennai is in second place in India and Mumbai is in third place. Delhi is three times that of Chennai.
There are 11 times more cameras than in Mumbai. CM Arvind Kejriwal said that after the installation of CCTV, women in Delhi have started feeling safe and the police are also helping in uncovering the crime. I hope the security of Delhi will increase after the installation of so many cameras and people will feel safe.
