Delhi government reduced VAT rate on petrol by 10.6 percent. Due to which, price of petrol reduced by Rs. 8 per litre. The new price is applicable from today i.e Thursday. New price of petrol in Delhi is Rs. 95.97 per litre. Still there is no change in the rate of diesel CM Arvind kejriwal said that we have made petrol very cheaper in Delhi . VAT rate become lower from 30 percent to 19.4 percent about 10.6 percent less. In Delhi petrol becomes cheaper as compared to other NCR cities. They also said that Diesel rated in Delhi are also lower in comparison to others. The Delhi government says that even after cutting VAT rates in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana Diesel rates in Noida and Gurugram are still higher than in Delhi.
