Tension is increasing between West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and election strategist Prashant Kishor. Trinamool Congress MP from Srirampur Kalyan Banerjee (TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee) made a direct attack on the I-PAC during the Bengal municipal election campaign. Kalyan Banerjee said, “Where did the I-pack go now? There are enough people to do brokerage. Actual working hours are not visible. Where are they, the people who had nominated candidates of all names, where are they now! Now we are working on foot. I am working on straightening my spine.” Let us inform that the sourness between Prashant Kishor’s company I-PAC and TMC leaders regarding the candidates of Bengal Municipal Corporation elections had come to the fore. During the announcement of the names of the candidates, separate lists were released on TMC’s website and social media. Later, the TMC leaders rejected him and sent the list with his signature to the districts.
In fact, the on-ground relationship with I-PAC is not as ‘sweet’ as it used to be. After the publication of the list of pre-poll candidates, anger started erupting within the party. Analysts say that the primary goal behind TMC’s association with I-PAC was to strengthen and strengthen the team. Initially, the IPAC had conducted various surveys and made its own list to compile the probable figures and list of candidates for the election, but there was open dissatisfaction among the party leaders.
After the assembly elections, there has been a debate in TMC
After the massive victory in the assembly in the year 2021, two camps were formed within the party about who is the real deserving of the victory. Most of the new TMC leaders claim that I-Pac is the key contributor to this victory. However, the senior party group feels that it is not the I-Pac but a victory for Mamata Banerjee’s leadership. In such a situation, Kalyan Bandyopadhyay is one of those old faces who were with the Trinamool leader. This has become clear again with the statement of the TMC MP on Sunday.
Conflict is going on between TMC leaders regarding Prashant Kishor
In fact, the manner in which the pre-poll tussle has begun between top leaders within the party, makes it practically clear that all is not well within the party. Meanwhile, the rift between Trinamool and I-Pack has also come to the fore. Rumor has it that Abhishek Banerjee was helping I-Pack a lot. According to Trinamool sources, Abhishek was preparing the roadmap for the expansion of the Congress Trinamool, as told by I-PAC. I-PAC was deciding what the TMC strategy should be in pan-India politics.
Voice is being raised in TMC against Prashant Kishor
Not only, Kalyan Banerjee, but Firhad Hakim has also targeted I-Pack even before this. The controversy over the publication of the list of two candidates in the pre-election had created a lot of confusion. Efforts were made to resolve the matter by sending lists to the districts. But the dispute is not resolved. The party MLA himself opposed the list of candidates. Firhad Hakim said that the party’s Facebook account is being misused. Although he did not say this in his mouth, but did question the functioning of the I-Pack. This time again, the internal politics of TMC has come to the fore again with the statement of Kalyan Banerjee.
