Dehradun. BJP, Congress, and Aam Aadmi Party have put their full strength into the Uttarakhand Assembly Elections 2022. At the same time, 11 associates including CDS General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat were martyred in the Coonoor helicopter accident in Tamil Nadu in December last year. Originally, CDS Rawat, who hails from Uttarakhand, had a heartfelt wish that he should return to his state Uttarakhand after retirement and settle down here. Not only this, CDS Rawat was also getting his house built in Dehradun for this, but due to the sudden accident, all his planning was put on hold. At the same time, BJP now wants to keep Rawat’s memory alive in a different way and that is to connect his family with politics.
Although a few days ago, Mr. Colonel Vijay Rawat, brother of General Bipin Rawat, had joined BJP in Dehradun, he is refusing to contest the elections. In such a situation, party sources are telling that BJP has now sent a proposal to contest the elections to the daughters of CDS General Bipin Rawat. According to party sources, the party wants to make one of the two daughters of General Rawat its candidate for a seat in Uttarakhand for the 2022 assembly elections, for which the consent of the daughters is awaited.
CDS Rawat has two daughters
CDS Self. Bipin Rawat has two daughters, of whom the eldest daughter Kritika lives in Mumbai. Kritika is also married. While the younger daughter Tarini is practicing as a lawyer in the Delhi High Court. In such a situation, BJP is waiting that whoever agrees to contest the election, will be fielded.
Can contest elections from here
According to sources, the BJP has sent a proposal to the daughters of the late General Bipin Rawat to contest the elections. If he agrees, BJP can field him from Dehradun’s Doiwala or Kotdwar seat. The BJP has not yet announced the names of its candidates for both these seats.
