Britain’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who survived the no-confidence motion a month ago, has again increased the pressure. Two UK cabinet ministers have resigned from their posts. After this step of the ministers, now the pressure of resignation has started increasing on Boris Johnson.
On Tuesday, Britain’s Finance Minister Rishi Sunak and Health Minister Sajid Javid resigned from the Boris government. Sunak said in his resignation that he was saddened to leave the government, but after much thought he came to the conclusion that he could no longer be with the government.
Sunak said in his resignation that the public expects the government to work properly and seriously. He further said, ‘May be this will be my last ministerial post, but I believe it is necessary to fight on these standards and that is why I am resigning’. At the same time, Health Minister Sajid Javid said after resigning that ‘I cannot stop my conscience’. Apart from this, UK Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries has also reached the PM’s official residence.
Actually, this whole incident is being told related to a UK MP, Chris Pincher. Chris Pincher was accused of abusing drunk people and sexual misconduct. Questions were also raised on the attitude of British PM Boris Johnson in this matter. Because after the allegations were made, Pincher was promoted. Actually, in the last 5 days, the British government changed its statement repeatedly.
UK ministers initially said Johnson was not aware of any allegations when he promoted Pincher in February. But on Monday a spokesman said Johnson was aware of the allegations of sexual misconduct. Either the matter was resolved or the formal complaint was not escalated.
Let us tell you that in June last month, more than 50 MPs of the ruling Conservative Party demanded the resignation of Boris Johnson. But PM Boris Johnson was successful in winning the trust vote. Johnson got 148 votes out of 211 in the House.
In fact, then Boris was accused that Johnson had organized a party on June 19, 2020, amid the lockdown imposed to prevent the spread of Corona. It was his birthday on this day and he turned 56 years old. During this, Johnson’s wife Carrie organized a party in Downing Street. About 30 people attended this program.
The corona lockdown was in force at the time the party was held, and not more than two people were allowed to attend events. This entire controversy was named as the Party gate scam. During the Corona restrictions, many people including Boris Johnson, his wife were fined for the party held in the cabinet room in Downing Street. Johnson had earlier said that Downing Street had followed government guidelines. Earlier, UK PM Boris Johnson’s wife Carrie Johnson had confirmed that she had paid the fine in this case and apologized.
