According to information provided by the provincial crisis management administration, the death toll in multiple districts of Balochistan and Khebar pakhtunkhwa has grown to 170. Rescuers and local residents have found bodies in Zorb Bulan, Quetta, and other areas of the province. Over 15,000 homes were destroyed in the province as a result of the severe rain, and numerous highways and bridges were also reported to have been washed away by the floodwaters, according to the authorities.
The relief and recovery efforts were reviewed during Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s visit to the flood-affected neighbourhood of Hebrew. Numerous orchards and thousands of acres of farmland have been devastated as a result of the flash food from Balochistan’s influence on the area, which also inundated some 50 villages in Syn.
